Pumpkin Cookies
My creative and clever husband John made the children a stencil for a Jack o'Lantern face. Isn't it cute?
Here is a picture of Joshua looking at his cookie. He hadn't eaten any of his dinner and I told him he had to eat a few bites before he could have a cookie. When the cookies were ready, I pulled his dinner back out of the fridge. Even seeing and smelling the yummy cookie wasn't temptation enough to eat any meatloaf, mashed potatoes or green beans.
While rolling out the dough, I ate too many little bites and feel a bit ill. Oops.

Happy Birthday Grandma!
Grandma recently graduated from Norfolk State University. We are so proud of you!
Grandma loves to go to the movies. If you ever want to go and are wondering what you should see, call Grandma-- she's likely seen them all and can tell you which are worth seeing!
Our children are so lucky to have Grandma in their lives! I grew up really knowing my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. I want my children to have this same experience.
Thank you Nancy for being such an awesome mother and grandmother! We love you!

Fun in the Snow!
We all played in the snow this day. My children were excited about me coming out because last year I was pregnant and didn't go out much. Why bother if you can't go sledding at top speed down the hill just to throw yourself off of the sled before it goes over the drop off and into the woods???
This was Ethan's first time in the snow! He really enjoyed it and smiled a lot. When my other children were first introduced to the snow, they were curious but didn't really smile and eventually cried to go back inside. Ethan stayed outside for at least twice as long as the others did as babies.
He even let us lay him down in the snow and help him make a snow angel!
Fun, fun, fun!
